Senior Mine Geologist - Africa

A relatively new, expanding hardrock operation in Africa currently seeks a Mine Geologist to join their expanding production team.

Reporting to the Chief Mine Geologist, in this key production role you will be responsible for:

• Supervision of daily production
• Providing key input to mine design & planning
• Liaise with production contractors
• Resource modelling, reconciliations and grade control
• Training and mentoring of national staff

Working within a team of professional, experienced expats, you will operate on a FIFO basis with flexible point of hire. You will be given extensive autonomy and confront new challenges on a daily basis at a technically challenging and diverse opencut operation. A lucrative remuneration package including performance incentives is provided.

As the successful candidate, you will be tertiary qualified in geology and possess a strong background in opencut hardrock mine geology appointments. Previous expat experience and proficiency in modelling software will be highly regarded.
