The Company:

Our client is an Australian company with a global presence specialising in sophisticated communications systems. They are a well-established organisation whose innovative approach in meeting the needs of their clients has resulted in them becoming a global leader in radio communications technology. Due to continuing growth they are looking for a Field Technician to join their team.

The Role:

As the Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining (inspecting, testing and repairing) 2-way radio communication systems for new and existing mining sites. You will be working closely with mining managers and other mining personnel to ensure specifications are met and that low frequency fibre and control systems are in good working condition. The role will be split into a mix of field and bench work. Provided you prove yourself in this role over a period of time you will have the opportunity to progress within the company and work on sites at other Australian and overseas locations.

You will be rewarded with:

• $75K to $80K base plus super and relocation costs
• Advancement opporunities

Selection Criteria:

You must hold a Radio Trades Certificate and have at least 3 years experience installing and maintaining 2-way radio systems - your experience on mine sites are an advantage, but not essential. Working with low frequency radio, fibre and radio control systems or generally radio frequency technology will make you an ideal candidate for the role. Additionally, you are a person with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
