Large Unique WA Project requires your specialist skills!

Since the recent award of a Large Water Project in Perth our client has been frantically seeking the best possible staff to assist in the Engineering, Procurement, Design and Construction of the CV$500m project.

Although most positions have been filled they are however a little light in procurement expertise, and have requested that In2work use their resources to source an experienced Expeditor well versed in construction procurement principles, systems and methodologies to join the team and play a critical role during the project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for:
- Compiling inspection and expediting reports in relation to purchase orders placed
- Carry out, under direction, appropriate investigations and inspections to ensure that quality policy and standards are observed
- Maintain working knowledge of contract administration and an understanding of vendor drawing information
- Review suppliers on a monthly basis so as to ascertain best pricing and product availability
- Review the supply chain together with the Procurement Manager and recommend any changes
- Prepare contingency/alternate suppliers for the benefit of risk management
And other duties as required.

Position requirements include Detailed knowledge of relevant codes, Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and At least 5 years experience in quality control, procurement and inspection of pressure vessels, heavy equipment, piping, structural steel and general fabrication.
