Recognised as being one of Australia’s most diversified Mining Contractors with employees across their sites in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, South America and South Africa, this Company has a strong emphasis on setting benchmark standards in Health and Safety, Sustainable Development, Community and the Environment.
Due to the increase and success of awarded Contracts, this Mining and Civil Earthmoving Company is seeking a new Technical Services Manager of Blasting to join their Mining Team.
The Technical Services Manager of Blasting will be responsible for:
- The safety and supervision of all Drilling and Blasting;
- Be able to work in accordance of the requirements of the Operations Production – in terms of quantities of broken material and fragmentation;
- Management and Leadership and all team members –mentor while developing a team and comply with all site standards, policy and legislation;
- Technical, Professional and Operational Knowledge;
- OHS&E and Quality responsibility – a commitment to and ensure compliance of all areas.
To be successful for this role, you must:
- Have an extensive background in Drill and Blasting activities;
- Be tertiary qualified in Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering;
- Good numerical and analytical skills;
- High level communication skills including good report writing skills;
- Be a team player with sound interpersonal skills; and
- Technical skills in relation to mining activities and mining equipment
Due to continued success on awarded Contracts, this reputable Company is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join their team in Western Australia for the duration of this Iron Ore Project’s 6 year lifespan. This Project Mine delivers a massive 6 million tonnes of iron ore per year, with 13 million tonnes per annum of waste.
