Registered Psychologist (Indigenous Service)

Aboriginal Organisation based in the Kimberley are urgently seeking the services of an experienced Registered Psychologist. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing psychological/counselling services and program development to Indigenous people aged 16+ years.< /p>
Responsibilities and duties:
- Program development and facilitation - mental health promotion and psycho-education programs in both community and workplace settings
- The provision of culturally appropriate counselling and support services to overcome the obstacles that prevent Aboriginal people from gaining and sustaining employment
- Providing reports, program recommendations and accurate record keeping
- Individuals assessments and ongoing consultation/counselling
- Working with clients aged 16+ years
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor of Psychology and registration with the Australian Psychological Society
- Program development and facilitation experience
- Ability to work independently in the assessment and documentation of mental state and risk management
- Experience working with Indigenous Health - domestic violence, counselling etc
- Australian unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
